The biggest challenge in the world of e-mobility is the efficient recharging of electric cars. Today, 60% of electric cars are charged at the office, 30% at home and 10% in public places. By now, Belgium has about 10,000 public charging stations and the network is expected to expand even further in future. However, home and/or office installations remain indispensable for guaranteeing the usability of your electric fleet.
Electric charging cannot be classified under a single category. Plug-in hybrid cars often need a mobile charging solution, while 100% electric cars often require a fixed charging installation because the capacity of the battery to be recharged is considerably higher. Moreover, for companies with a high personnel turnover or very mobile employees, it may be useful to also integrate smart mobile chargers in their mobility plan.

Each fixed charging station installed by one of our partners includes the placement of a future-proof fixed charging stations of 22 kW, inspection, Help Desk services, reporting on charge cycles and the option of identification via a charge pass system. For home installations of employees, Athlon also provides for an automatic reimbursement of electricity costs to the driver.
For plug-in hybrids, the Nexxtender (mobile smart cable) can be combined with our Athlon MobilityPay offer. The smart cable will record the amount of energy charged at home for the automatic reimbursement.
