What do I need to do when returning my vehicle?
Use the checklist to guarantee that you haven’t forgotten anything. Because according to your contract, we will have to invoice you for anything that’s missing, even if you return it to us later.
Checklist:- Clean the vehicle – inside and out.
- Put all vehicle papers in.
- Check whether the maintenance book is there.
- Bring all fuel cards with you.
- Return all navigation CDs, unless you bought them yourself.
- Bring all keys with you:
- regular and spare keys;
- keys for the radio code;
- (keys for anti-theft wing nuts);
- (keys for a removable tow bar);
- (keys for the ski box).
- Make sure that the right tyres are fitted: you must have summer tyres on between 1 April and 1 October.
- Make sure the original aluminium wheel rims are fitted.
- Install all extra seats if your vehicle is a multi-purpose vehicle.
- Remove all your personal possessions.
- Remove any accessories you have paid for (unless doing so will damage the vehicle), but leave speakers, antennas and spoiler as they are.
-
Can there be costs charged through?
The unrepaired damage to the vehicle will be charged to the employer, who reserves the right to pass on all or part of the costs for this damage to the employee. Consequently, it is the responsibility of the employee to monitor the following points before returning the vehicle:
• All windows must be in perfect condition. It is the responsibility of the employee to have any window that is broken, cracked, or which has a star break in it replaced or repaired prior to the return of the vehicle.
• All damage to the bodywork must be repaired before return.
• The vehicle must be clean, both inside and outside.
• The spare keys, all vehicle papers and accessories should be present and complete.
Should the employee not have the damage repaired before returning the vehicle, the deductible will be applied for the damage indicated prior to the return of the vehicle. If there was no prior declaration of the damage, the damage final ride matrix (according to Renta standards) will be used to calculate the damage. In case of lost spare keys, vehicle papers or accessories: those costs will also be charged according the damage final ride matrix. This for customers who are insured with us.
