Marchel Koops appointed CCO of Athlon International

Marchel Koops, currently Managing Director of Athlon Netherlands, will join the Athlon Management Board as Chief Commercial Officer. In this position he succeeds Peter Derks who will retire at the end of the year. In his new role, Marchel will be responsible for all commercial activities for Athlon internationally. Jean-Pierre Vissers, currently Director International Markets, will succeed Koops as Managing Director Athlon Netherlands.

Koops has been with Athlon for 14 years, and held various management positions. As Managing Director Athlon Netherlands for the past four years, he fostered innovations regarding mobility management and ChangeMyCar.

Building on innovative leadership
Jean-Pierre Vissers will succeed Koops as Managing Director of Athlon Netherlands on 1 October. He led the Athlon International Markets since 2010 and was able to further build the customer growth story as a full service and mobility solutions provider internationally. Previously, he worked for GE Capital in various positions, a.o. Chief Operating Officer for Global Working Capital Solutions and Managing Director of Fleet Services Central Europe.
