The acquisition of Athlon Switzerland AG’s fleet by Arval
Wednesday, May 26, 2021
Arval and Athlon today announce that Arval’s Swiss subsidiary will purchase the entire full service leasing fleet of Athlon Switzerland AG.

The acquisition of Athlon Switzerland AG’s fleet of 800 vehicles will allow Arval (Switzerland) AG, the market leader of full service leasing and fleet management, to consolidate its leading position in the Swiss market, and to qualitatively complement its portfolio, both in terms of customer base and in terms of asset base.
The transaction is expected to close before this summer. Both parties share the same uncompromising obsession for service quality and customer satisfaction and will strive to ensure a smooth and seamless transition for Athlon’s customers.
“We are really happy to welcome Athlon’s customers in Switzerland and expand even more our reach in this country, making our services centered on full service leasing and new sustainable mobility means accessible to a largest number of clients. This acquisition will also reinforce our #1 position in Europe in terms of full service leasing”, declares Alain van Groenendael, Arval Chairman and CEO.
“To grow our business, we decided to focus our activities and investments on the other European markets where Athlon is present. Arval shares our strong customer orientation; we are therefore convinced that our customers in Switzerland will continue to be served in the best way possible”, states Christian Schüler, CEO of Athlon.
