Sonja is responsible for Legal & Compliance across Athlon. She succeeds Youssef Saidi who left Athlon per 30 November to pursue his career outside the company.

Sonja has been with Athlon since 2019 when she became Legal Counsel at Athlon International. In this role she supported various departments on all legal matters. She played a key role in supporting Sales on tenders and contracting, and in establishing a new International Sales Agreement in alignment with all markets. Additionally, she provided Antitrust Awareness Trainings. As Senior Legal Counsel, she was the liaison to Mercedes-Benz Mobility on Legal and Antitrust topics and coordinated the Local Legal Counsel Network.

Almere - Sabine Kroesemeijer is the new HR Country Manager of Athlon BeNeLux and International. Since the beginning of the year, she has held this position on an interim basis. Sabine is part of the Management Team of Athlon BeNeLux and reports to Head of HR and ExCom Member Esther Westerhof.

Schiphol - Fritz Karbaum is part of the Athlon Executive Committee as Chief Financial Officer since 1 January. In this role, Fritz is responsible for Finance and Controlling across Athlon. He succeeds Christian Rottenkolber who has been appointed CFO of Mercedes-Benz Financial Services North America.
